Angela Bagnetto Finley is an accomplished horn player based in the Gulf Coast region, celebrated for her expressive performances and engaging artistry. A native of Upstate New York, she has developed a diverse career as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral player, and educator.
Angela serves as principal horn of both the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra and Gulf Coast Symphony, and assistant principal horn of the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra. She also makes regular guest appearances with esteemed ensembles such as the Mobile Symphony, Louisiana Philharmonic, Pensacola Symphony, Meridian Symphony, and Opera Louisiane. This past summer, she enjoyed performing as a guest musician with the Chautauqua Symphony at the Chautauqua Institution in New York.
Angela’s performance discography includes recordings on the Grammy-nominated album Weill, Ibert, Berg: Concertos by the Baton Rouge Symphony Chamber Players and the soundtrack for the film The Last Champion. She is a member of a consortium of musicians who commissioned Jim Stephens’ Maytudes and Anthony Plog’s Horn Quartet No. 1, and she is a proud member of the International Horn Society.
Angela holds a Bachelor of Music from Northwestern University and a Master of Music from Rice University.
Residing in Baton Rouge with her husband, Jonathan, and their two sons, Edmund and Liam, Angela enjoys frequent visits to Bloomfield to spend time with her brother Anthony, sister-in-law Kristin, and her beloved nephews, Thomas and Nicholas.
