Born during the worst of the Great Depression of 1932, the Bloomfield Symphony Orchestra has had as its mission, bringing the joy and power of great symphonic music to live audiences in a relaxed setting at a low cost. The BSO, whose members come from a wide swath of the eastern New Jersey communities, represent teachers, college professors, music teachers, nurses, doctors, scientists, engineers, social workers, psychologists, housewives and husbands, members of the corporate community, high school/college students, and a few professional musicians. Our goal has not changed over the last 92 years, and we invite you to join us as we present this remarkable mix of joy, power, and learning from our community to your community.
